The People of Bosana

A guide to the fauna... pardon, the population of Bosana.

These are rough costume sketches inspired by our own lands. In Bosana, clothing does not merely cover you. It is also a *passive-aggressive declaration* of who you are and where you come from.

🔴 **Bosoni.** Hard-working, hospitable, and loud. A people who do more than they promise. They keep quiet, dig, and if they tell you something, listen carefully because they will not repeat it. Inspired by the proud people of Krajina and Bosnia.

🟢 **Bosani.** A people fond of order. First morning coffee, then gossip, a leisurely cigarette, and then a prayer that rain holds off until after the harvest. You will not hear them shouting, but by the time they speak they have already calculated everything. Inspired by the people of the plains in Semberija and Posavina, who know exactly when everything should be planted and when everyone should be in bed.

🔵 **Bosuni.** Those on the other side do not waste words explaining honour. Their presence is explanation enough. If it seems that they are not looking at you, *they are. Only inwardly.* They live in such a way that everyone else feels uncomfortable for not being a better person. Physically, too. Beside them, the other peoples of Bosana look as if they skipped a stage of growth. Proud descendants of Herzegovinian stone and honour. And yes, they speak the most correct version of the language in Bosana.

---

Together they form the **RGB spectrum**. In the additive colour system, red, green, and blue at full intensity make white light. Pure, genuine strength. Peace.

The inhabitants of Bosana, however, run on a different operating system. They are convinced that combining those three colours would cause a *short circuit in reality*.

So they keep their distance and shout across a fence whose colour is more "authentic". It may be less enlightened, but it is far more entertaining to watch from the side.

At first I considered dividing Bosana into our familiar, sensitive camps. But in a world where magic runs on defiance, that makes no sense. So I divided them into these, to my mind more realistic, geographical temperaments.

Because at the end of the day, it does not matter which "camp" you belong to in Bosana. **We all get equally wet, we all fear draughts equally, and we all think we are cleverer than the next person.** That is what truly unites us. Presumably.
